Phew! So much has happened in the last week. To everyone who follows this space, a very special hello from my hometown – Bangalore, India. It gives me much pleasure to announce that I have moved from Boston to Bangalore to continue my work as a documentary photographer.
I am incredibly lucky and thankful to have family and friends who have been supportive of all my decisions. Even the odd and unconventional ones. You must know and understand by now that this is how I roll! It hasn’t been easy. In Boston, I have had to bid adieu to a group of friends and co-workers who I’d grown so close to, they had started to feel like family. The hardest yet was saying goodbye to my husband, Venks, who continues to hold fort in Boston until I am settled in and fully certain I want to stay in Bangalore.
Each time I go out to document a story of love, I am reminded of my relatively short but action-packed journey with Venks through life. If the act of choosing someone to spend the rest of your life with is thought of as a test, I know I aced mine 🙂 And it is this feeling that lifts me up and motivates me to document other couples acing their own life tests.
So Venks, my loudest cheerleader, truest believer and No.1 fan, this one is for you. THANK YOU, I miss you and long live Skype!
