Gorgeous Maharashtra!! Who knew!??

It’s been a while since I posted anything here, but I promise I’ve been doing stuff! You will see me posting more regularly in the weeks to come (or so I tell myself.) I took a trip to Mumbai last week and visited a hidden gem – the Kas Plateau near Satara, Maharashtra. This was an impulse day trip built into an impulse trip, making it a journey of the best kind. Also, I had two of my best friends for company, so we had a great time!

The Kas Plateau is a carpet of colorful wildflowers in Maharashtra’s Western Ghats (approx 5.5 hours by road from Mumbai – EXCELLENT ROAD SURFACE, btw – but then, coming from Bangalore, anything is excellent.) September is supposed to be the best time of year to visit when the flowers are all in bloom and an overcast monsoon sky really makes the colors pop. There’s not much to do once you get here, except to wind down and enjoy the view. These are some landscapes I shot with my iPhone of visitors doing exactly that.

P.S. I swear it it this shade of green! zero color manipulation in post.
